The deep voice seemed to come from all around her. Like the gentle breeze, it flowed over her, heating her skin with tingly warmth. Somehow she knew that whoever belonged to that voice meant her no harm. But his words--woman-eater--heated her most secret places and lit a fire in her mind. She hadn't seen his face, but he sounded just like Kane.
