D. S. Dehel is a lover of literature, good food, and the Oxford comma. Though an award-winning author, she spends her time doing things other than writing, as all authors tend to do. When she is not immersed in a book, she is mom to her kids and spoiling her rather pampered feline, Mr. Darcy or her equally pampered pup, Jameson, and her slightly psychotic Australian Shepherd, Piper. Clearly, these three take as much time as her four grown kids, so she retired from her 26-year career as an educator to be properly devoted to her pets and write, of course. And travel. She loves traveling and calls it “research.” She’s yearning for the day it can be considered a tax write off. Dawn now spends her days dreaming up new plotlines and ways to torment her characters.
