Back in 1990, while recovering from surgery, I decided to write a novel. After writing three chapters on a Commodore 64 computer with a 5 inch floppy drive, I went back and finished my naval career. Along the way, I rewrote the 3 chapters in Word Perfect 5.0 on an IBM compatible 8088 computer with a 30 meg hard drive and then moved on to Word on my first Pentium. Another eight years after I retired, I finally picked it back up. Technology had changed drastically by 2009, not to mention, me. I was able to redirect and expand the story, using the web to take me places I’d never been able to research. After finishing my 140,000 word monstrosity, I was hooked. But my amazement was yet to come. I came up with a romance novel, a genre I never expected to write in. Extasy decided it was a good choice for me, picking up the novel after only reading five chapters. Straight from the Heart was published on New Year’s Day, 2016. Since then, I turned the story into a trilogy, centering around the same town, what I call my "Heart" series. Since then, I’ve contributed six additional novels and three short stories to Extasy’s extensive library, My latest, Shot in the Country, is the first of my next trilogy I call “Creating Romance.”
